Thus, he issued this 150W all-tubes beast that was inspired by the Fender Bassman 5F6A.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt was also usable by guitarists, and they quickly realized that the insane amount of bass and\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003epower delivered by this amp was perfect for heavy rock like doom or stoner rock. It became\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003every famous later when the band Sunn o))) used it to play incredibly loud and heavy music\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eduring their concerts. It is now very rare and expensive, so hopefully this preamp will give\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eyou a taste of this beast!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe SUNFET reproduces the original schematic of the preamp, replacing tubes by JFET J201'S,\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewith some minor twists to make it gainier.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt can of course sound bassy, heavily saturated, but it is also very usable in lighter settings\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003efor a nice warm crunch that will be perfect for rock and hard rock.
